While I always had a hunch that yoga would play a big role in my life, it wasn’t until I had the opportunity to take yoga classes for several months in India that I integrated the practice into many facets of my life. Since welcoming in this transition, I’ve felt stronger within myself to build a life more authentic to who and what I want to be. Becoming intimate with my yoga practice has helped me to become a healthier version of myself: mentally, physically, and spiritually.
I was trained for yoga teaching at Rishikesh Nath Yogshala in Rishikesh, India, four years after I
developed a personal practice. I was very fortunate to learn from warm yet disciplined teachers abroad, especially in studying ayurveda, philosophy, and the asanas in the solitude of the foothills.
I encourage anyone who finds themselves seeking sustainable growth and the will to sit deeper with themselves in a similar manner to reach out and try something new. I aim to introduce practices and forms of knowledge which will assist students to see their individual intentions for their yoga practice all the way through. I believe in every human’s process of empowerment or liberation, and I am grateful for the chance to share mine with you.
