Kristin Barrett-Anderson, Reiki Master Teacher
Two long corporate careers, on-call 24/7 and requiring travel away from a growing family, took their toll on Kristin. Back pain, acid reflux and lingering chest pain from a car accident, became an accepted part of everyday life.
Walking away from a stressful and degrading career number two was the second best decision she ever made (after walking away from less-than-satisfying career number one).
While on break from outside-of-the-house work and optimistically thinking she might even be retired, Kristin discovered yoga. It was life changing. Through yoga and healthy eating practices, she became pain-free and was able to cease all medications.
Although Kristin gained inner peace and healing through her yoga practice, she still struggled when friends (animal and human) suffered and longed to find a means to be of comfort to others. Reiki was the answer.
The philosophy of Reiki supported everything Kristin thought about life, love and the belief that we are all connected. Being able to share the energy that is inherent in all of us became a means to provide comfort to others.
A huge animal lover and caretaker for a horse, two miniature donkeys, 13 chickens, two dogs and three cats, Kristin shares Reiki everyday with her pets and with her (human) loved ones, wherever they reside.
Kristin took her Reiki Master Teacher training in 2013 and hopes to share this incredible realization of life’s energy and connection with her students so that they may also receive comfort in this natural healing for themselves and others.
