"I haven't been this relaxed in 30 years!"

"I wish I could rate 10 stars! On a whim I reached out to Mandala Moon Yoga to see if I could schedule an in-home yoga session for a bachelorette I was hosting, and working with Dena was fantastic. Dena came to our Air BnB and taught in the middle of three rooms (which I'm sure was difficult) since the space was so small, and brought mats and straps for us to use. I'm not a bendy person, and have never done Yoga. Dena was able to communicate so well that from beginner to advanced, we were all engaged and having fun. Dena even threw some Game of Thrones references into the yoga session (theme of the bachelorette was GoT). Everyone from the bachelorette RAVED about Dena for the rest of the weekend, and we all agree that was the highlight of the weekend! I wish I lived closer, because you would have gained yourself a new member. Dena sparked an interest in Yoga in me that I never knew I had! I wish Dena would have stayed with us and partied :)"

Not only is this the most beautiful studio I've ever been to, it's also the most innovative.

Mandala Moon Yoga is a gift to the community and those who are lucky enough to enjoy Dena Beratta and her amazing staff. I went to a restorative yoga class yesterday with a shoulder that had been bothering me for a week or more. With gentle stretching and careful movement, I left feeling relaxed and cared for. As I walked the dog later in the day (perhaps the shoulder culprit), I realized that my shoulder was not sore. The classes are great for all levels, and everyone there is kind and inclusive. Thank you Dena for all you do to make each one of your clients feel special and well taken care of!

I have been involved in Yoga classes for the past 5 years. I have gone to several different instructors. I am so happy that I found the ladies at Mandala Moon! Their instructions are so clear, you can close your eyes instead of watching in contorted positions!!
They are truly sincere, caring professional experts! You will learn the right way, the background of yoga and work with staff that is totally devoted to the Art of Yoga.
Thanks ladies for making this experience the best!

I discovered Dena and Mandala Moon Yoga in 2013. I came to her class in excruciating pain from a car accident two and a half years earlier. By the time I took my first yoga class with her I had seen nine doctors, four physical therapists, two physiatrists, a chiropractor, an acupuncturist and a therapist (for my new found fear of driving). I was unable to work and all treatments prescribed (narcotics, steroid shots, physical therapy and regular therapy) did nothing for my pain. I was also unable to sleep. Out of desperation I tried yoga. I had nothing left to lose.
Dena’s instruction of Kripalu yoga (a yoga developed to adapt to all body types, ages and fitness levels) was difficult for me at first due to my limited range of motion, and I wanted to stop. I didn’t need any more pain. However, I stuck with the yoga and she helped me modify the poses so that I was able to do the entire class. Six weeks later during one of her classes, I could feel the pain release from my lower back and hip. The next day I was practically pain free. I also slept through the night for the first time in almost three years.
Two weeks later, while driving to class, I was nearly hit in the same manner as the car accident that had caused all this pain. Typically my body would respond with extreme fear, stress and hyper vigilance of other drivers. This time, none of that occurred. I attribute that to the breathing and relaxation I learned in Dena’s yoga classes. In two months of weekly yoga classes I was able to get my life back. Her yoga classes did for me what eighteen health professionals were unable to do for three years.
Now two years later, I attend three classes a week and live mostly pain free. I no longer take medications or shots for pain. Her yoga classes have greatly reduced my stress levels and that has also allowed me to lose some extra weight.
Thank you Dena for all your help in my recovery. I can’t thank you enough.

I love Dena's classes, both yoga and hooping. My week just isn't the same if I am unable to attend yoga. I am always amazed at how any ache, pain, restlessness or worry can be transformed or alleviated with just one yoga class. Yoga has become an oasis. Dena is a very knowledgeable, experienced and compassionate teacher. All are welcome, no matter what age or physical ability.

I've gone to Dena's hooping classes on and off for the last year - the only thing keeping me from being a constant attendee is my full time grad school schedule. She is great. And, with having ridiculous knee problems, hooping is a fantastic workout that is really easy on my knee! <3 it! Besides, who didn't like to play with a hula hoop as a kid!? Now, there is an excuse to play with one as a grown up!

I am proudly addicted to Dena's yoga and hooping classes. Almost 3 years now into my journey with Dena, we continue to grow together as teacher & student. I am involved in MMA & kickboxing activities where I regularly use the postures and mindset of yoga & I have managed to avoid injury despite the intensity of these activities. I look to Dena to skillfully guide me through any physical or mental limits I may have on a given day. I've also done several of the hooping series & find this a great addition to my cardio & just plain fun activities.

Just home from yoga and I have to say it was AMAZING! Thank you so much! I thought an hour and a half was going to be too long but I could have stayed longer! It was a great mix of relaxation, meditation, and also some challenging poses and mental exercises. I'm definitely going to look into coming more often. Thank you again!
Anyone local who is interested in yoga, definitely go take Dena's class!
-Marci, Hoop & Yoga Student
Dena is a wonderful instructor. She's patient and explains everything so well. Taking her classes has helped me immensely both physically and mentally. I also take her hooping classes and highly recommend those! I lost 1 1/2" from my waist from just one month of hooping! Yoga and Hooping go perfectly together. I'm hooked on both! :- )
-Janet, Hoop & Yoga Student
Just wanted to share my thoughts on your Yoga class. I have been participating in your class for the past few months and have noticed a very positive change in my flexibility and movement in my hips, legs, arms and back. When I first began the class, I was dealing with an injury from a broken wrist which also contributed to limited movement in my shoulders and arms from non-use. As the weeks went on, I noticed a significant improvement in the movement in my shoulders and wrist. I am now able to move my arms more freely and bend my wrist at a greater angle. I am also an avid downhill skier and experienced more flexibility in my skiing. My turns seem to be much more fluid especially moving my hips laterally through the turns. I feel that the yoga classes have helped me with my flexibility and movement and overall physical well being.
Thank you Dena!

Just wanted to let you know that I LOVE your class.
It truly relaxes me and I am stretching muscles that I didn't even know I had.
I think 2 times a week would be great for my mind and body. I am so glad that I found Yoga and your class!
-Lori, Yoga Student
I look forward to Dena's yoga class more than any other fitness class I've ever taken.
It's relaxing and challenging at the same time.
Every time I leave her class, I'm ready to go right back for another one.
Wednesday nights can't come fast enough.
-Claire, Yoga Student
I always leave Dena’s class with a real sense of peace.
I carry that feeling through my week. I wish I could go every day!

My doctor told me in May that if I couldn't get my HDL (good cholesterol) count over 40, she would be prescribing me a cholesterol medication. Although all my other numbers are good, I have been trying to get the HDL over 40 for several years. When I went back for testing in September, my HDL increased from 36 to 48 - a 12 point increase! The only thing I can attribute it to is taking up hooping! The increased aerobic exercise must have done the trick!
