LivAvtar Kaur (Beth-Ann Wise), RYT-200
Sat Naam! I’m a kirtan artist and Kundalini Yoga Teacher as taught by Yogi Bhajan.
Kundalini Yoga is often called, "The Yoga of Awareness," because, for many, it awakens the untapped creative life force energy within us and unlocks our full potential. We feel more alive, authentic and better able to navigate the stress of our hectic jobs, family life, technology and relationships.
Kirtan is a type of audience participation devotional community singing. I play the harmonium and invite you to repeat the chants or sing along until we reach a state of meditative bliss. We offer Kirtan every two months at the studio.
Kundalini Yoga is very wholistic. In every class you’ll practice yoga "sets" or kriya consisting of physical postures or asana to build strength and remove energy blocks in the body; however, since we are more focused on building strong neurological and glandular systems, you’ll also practice pranayama (breathing exercises), chanting mantra, deep relaxation and meditation in every class.
Class is really fun, and each class is fresh and unique. There are literally thousands of kriya, meditations, chants and breathing exercises so you are constantly learning new tools to help you and your loved ones live a less stressful life. Plus I often play the harmonium during class to lead the chants and the gong during relaxation to surround you with healing vibrations.
