As far back as I can remember, fitness has always been a big part of my life. It wasn’t until I started practicing yoga in my early twenties that I found the perfect way to calm my overactive mind while connecting with my body.
Originally, I stayed away from yoga even though I had heard of its numerous benefits. I didn’t think that yoga was “for me” as I didn’t fit the idea of what I thought a woman who practiced yoga looked like.
It wasn’t until I went to a free community class while living in San Diego that I realized there is no standard yoga look, body or age in order to practice. Yoga is for everyone. Basically, if you have a body, then you have a yoga body.
I’m passionate about making yoga accessible & encouraging healthy aging practices.
Over the past few years, I’ve continued to educate myself on the benefits of exercise, earning two ACE Fitness certifications & completing the Mandala Moon Yoga 200-hr Teacher Training program in 2024. I’m excited to help students find strength & self-love on the mat & within themselves.
